Department Judge Advocate Paul Gouthro

Marine Paul Gouthro was born and raised in Roxbury and Dorchester and South Boston. Joined the Corps just after Vietnam in '76. Trained as a 6012 Aviation Machinist Mate (jet engine mechanic/Plane Captain) at NAS Memphis. Worked with A4 Skyhawks at MCASs Cherry Point (NC), Beaufort (SC), Iwakuni, Japan, then back at NAS Memphis Northside with MARTD. Deployed to Kadina AFB (Okinawa) and Clark AFB and NAS Cubi Point, Subic Bay (Philippines). Worked flight deck on USS Coral Sea out of Yokosuka, Japan. Held backseat license to fly in TA-4J Skyhawks. Got out E5 Sergeant. Afterwards, 40 year career at GE Aerospace in Lynn - all-around machinist, technical writer, overhaul shop engineer, and test cell engineer. Joined MCL in 2016 then MODD 2017. Married with four daughters. Currently residing in Lynn.
