Department Judge Advocate Bruce Katz

Marine Bruce Katz is originally from Norwalk, CT and currently resides in Swansea, MA. He enlisted in the Marine Corps under the Delayed Entry Program in August 1982, reporting to MCRD Parris Island for recruit training a year later. Upon graduation in October 1983, he attended training at Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN at the Defense Information School to become a combat correspondent (print and photo journalist). His tours on active duty took him to MCB Camp Butler, Okinawa, MCAS Yuma, AZ, Marine Corps Recruiting Station Northern New England in Portsmouth, NH, Recruiting Station Hartford, CT, Marine Corps Recruit Depot and Eastern Recruiting Region at Parris Island, SC, Recruiting Station Western New England in Chicopee, MA, Recruiting Station Eastern New England in Portsmouth, NH and Marine Corps Recruiting Command, Quantico, VA before his retirement in August 2003.
Marine Katz became a life member in the Marine Corps League in 2004. He has served as Granite State Detachment 542 commandant and as Department of NH commandant. He has served as New England Division MCL aide de camp. He is also an adult volunteer in the Young Marines of the Marine Corps League for more than 10 years, serving as unit executive officer and commander, battalion commander, regimental executive officer, and division leadership school director. He currently serves as New England Division MCL Young Marines liaison.
